New Head of School Announcement

Over the last few months, the Westminster Christian School Board has been interviewing candidates for position of the Head of School. After a thorough and exhaustive search, Scott C. Smith has been selected to lead our school forward.

Scott Smith has been in education for the past thirty-two years, including many years as a classroom teacher, assistant principal and principal of public schools in Gwinnett and Forsyth Counties. He comes to us from Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula, Georgia, where he has served the families, students, faculty and staff for the past nine years as President.

During his tenure, Hebron has achieved accreditation with SACS and ACSI, improved SAT scores, student enrollment grew from 300 to over 1000 and Hebron built seven buildings in seven years while remaining debt free. Hebron has earned state championships numerous times in academics, fine arts and athletics.

Scott Smith is very excited to be a part of our school. He will be assuming full time duties here as of July 1st. Between now and then, he will be spending time with us periodically to begin the planning process for next year, meet families and help with recruiting. He is very committed to expanding the K-5 grades and the relocation of the MS/HS to the new site on Poplar Springs Road.

Scott has a very vibrant walk with the Lord and desires to encourage our children to be lifelong followers of Christ, equipped academically, socially and spiritually to fulfill God's plan for their lives. The WCS Board will be setting up a time in the very near future for the entire school community to meet Scott and his wife, Becky. We encourage you to come and bring with you a family to hear the vision and meet our new Head of School.

You are to be commended for your patience and perseverance during this extended time without a head of school. God has truly blessed us with Scott Smith and the Board asks that you join us in welcoming him to our WCS/NGC Family.
