The NGC Difference

If education is spiritual in nature, as we believe, then it must have a moral fiber that is woven into all things educational. At North Georgia Christian School, we believe in a Christian worldview and teach from that worldview. Our Vision Statement is:

NGC believes in excellence and betterment and demands that from our faculty and staff as well as our students. We build our mission upon these Core Values:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” Mark 12:3

“In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3

The NGC mission is to produce graduates that are spiritually, mentally, physically and socially fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. With this vision statement and our core values as the foundation of North Georgia Christian School, we expect there to be growing evidence in the lives of our graduates.

Spirtually
	to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ
	obey the commands of Jesus (John 8:31)
	love with the love of the Lord (John 13:24-25)
	bear much fruit (John 15:8)

Mentally
	have the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to communicate effectively
	have the knowledge and skills in math, science, social studies, and technology needed to accomplish God’s plan for their life
	have a knowledge of God and his creation to form a Biblical worldview
	develop critical thinking skills in all areas
	have the knowledge and skills to logically and lovingly defend their faith

Physically
	treat their bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit
	have healthy practices in nutrition, exercise and sleep
	abstain from harmful substances such as drugs and smoking
	abstain from sexual impurity
	develop and use physical abilities to glorify God
	realize that one’s self-image is properly based on being God’s creation

Socially
	love all people as Jesus Christ loves them
	practice honesty and integrity in all relationships
	build positive relationships by using Biblical principles of love, communication, forgiveness, mercy and conflict resolution
	maintain a positive attitude of praise and rejoicing in all situations
	understand and appreciate other cultures
	become citizens that promote and defend the freedoms provided under our nataion's government
	use appropriate manners that honor and glorify God and demonstrate respect for self and others
	realize that each person is uniquely created with specific gifts and talents to be used to accomplish God’s plan
